An 80-year-old woman driver had to be freed by firefighters after her car was involved in a crash on a busy Black Country dual carriageway.

She suffered suspected neck and spinal injuries in the smash in Manor Way, Halesowen, at around 12pm yesterday.

Firefighters from Cradley Heath had to cut the roof off to free her before she was taken to Dudley’s Russells Hall Hospital. An elderly female passenger escaped with minor injuries.
