Two drivers flee crashes

Two cars were abandoned by their drivers after separate crashes in the Black Country.

A black BMW was abandoned after it crashed into a telegraph pole in Tipton Street, Dudley at about 8.45 last night. By the time police and fire crews arrived, the driver had fled the scene.

Meanwhile, firefighters had to cut the roof off a Citroen that crashed into a tree in Stourbridge to free a man, shortly after midnight.The driver had left the scene.
