Cannabis seized in police raids
Monday 24th May 2010, 5:59PM BST.
Three hundred cannabis plants were found at a makeshift drugs factory in Wolverhampton today.
Police officers were called to reports of a burglary at the house in Park Street South, in Blakenhall, at 5am.
Three men were arrested at the scene and are currently helping police with inquiries.
Forensic officers were this afternoon awaiting for electricity company workers to confirm that the house is safe before combing the scene, as previous cannabis factories have re-routed supplies from neighbouring properties.
One man, believed to be aged 35, was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis.
Two men, both in their early 20s, were also under arrest on suspicion of burglary.
