Friday 23rd April 2010, 12:59PM BST.
West Bromwich Albion coach Roberto Di Matteo was due in court today accused of motoring offences.
The Baggies man was listed to appear at Walsall Magistrates Court to face a charge of failing to produce a certificate of insurance.
He is also accused of permitting the use of a motor vehicle with no insurance.
The 39-year-old, who was also due to hold a press conference at 1pm today, had given the court the home address of Overstrand Mansions, Prince of Wales Drive, London.
It comes less than a fortnight after the Swiss-born Italian secured West Bromwich Albion’s promotion back to the Premier League.
The elevation to the top division was confirmed with a 3-2 victory over Doncaster.
Mr Di Matteo also enjoyed a successful playing career and played in midfield for Schaffhausen, Zürich Aarau, Lazio, and Chelsea.
He was also capped by Italy 34 times, scoring two goals for the national team.
