Red and white flags with some good old fashioned sing song filled Wolverhampton Queen Square with colour and music as people celebrated St George’s day.

Beautiful sunshine warmed shoppers who stopped to sing along or rest their legs as singer Maggie O’Hara performed classics.
Some even took to a quick paddle in the city’s fountain.

This event is just one in a series of weekend celebrations taking part across the Midlands.
