Armed men broke into a house in Wolverhampton before allegedly pointing a gun at police as they tried to flee, it was revealed this afternoon.

Officers were called to reports of a robbery at a house on Vicarage Road, All Saints, and saw two suspects leaving the building.

Two men were arrested and a handgun was recovered at the scene.

A West Midlands Police spokeswoman said the house’s occupants were upstairs at the time of the raid but were not injured.
