Crash at accident blackspot

A driver was taken to New Cross Hospital following a two-car crash on a notorious blackspot road near Wolverhampton.
Firefighters cut the woman in her 50s free following the collision on the A449 Stourbridge Road, near the Miller & Carter restaurant, at 9.50pm last night, which closed the carriageway for 40 minutes.
She suffered serious knee injuries while the driver of the other car was unhurt.
The recently resurfaced dual carriageway has been the scene of several crashes.
