Leg injuries for girl hit by cars

A teenage girl from Burntwood is today recovering in hospital after an horrific hit and run incident in Staffordshire.

The 16-year-old suffered serious leg injuries after being struck by two cars as she was walking along St Matthews Road, in Burntwood at around 10 last night. One of the vehicles, described as a silver saloon car, failed to stop at the scene.

The girl was taken to Good Hope Hospital by paramedics with serious leg injuries. Police have now launched an appeal for information to trace the second car.
