Cannabis find shock

A warehouse that housed one of the West Midlands’ biggest-ever cannabis factories is owned by a leading Black Country councillor, it has emerged.

Cabinet member Mohammed Arif today spoke of his shock at discovering the Walsall property he has a 50 per cent share in had been transformed into a sophisticated operation growing 3,500 plants.

There is no suggestion the councillor was linked with the criminal set-up.
