Time to map out a plan for Villa's future

Fountain switch-on date
Tuesday 26th January 2010, 10:27PM GMT.
The showpiece fountain in Wolverhampton city centre should be up and running again by the end of March.
The £300,000 water feature was controversially shut in November just three months after being unveiled amid fears it could be damaged by the bad weather.
Council spokesman Tim Clark said today: “Providing it is not too cold, work will begin mid-March to clean out the fountain, service it and then test it before switching it on.”

Wolverhampton Council do like to waste money

The tramps will be happy. They’ll have somewhere to have a wash.

Great use of money there. Ah well, at least all the staff the council have layed off recently will have something nice to look at as they wander the streets. pfft!

Running water across pedestrian areas in a country that suffers cold winters and icy conditions is a great plan – NOT. It’ll need a separate budget for it’s very own grit supply to make it safe.
Whoever thought of this must be highly paid or on a great expenses package, having spent far too much time ‘getting inspiration’ in Disney World Florida where these kind of fountains are great for cooling the kids on a hot sunny day.

Hmm JJay I am now praying for more cold in March. Where there is a blame there is a claim!

And no doubt my council tax will go up again this year to pay for this useless item. Cant wait to slip over on it and sue the council to get my money back.
