Everton and former Wolves star Joleon LescottEverton defender Joleon Lescott wants a dream double this weekend – Wolves promoted and an FA Cup final spot.

The former gold and black star, a key figure when they won promotion via the play-offs in 2003, faces Manchester United in the FA Cup semi-final for Everton, but was keeping a keen eye on events.

A win over QPR this afternoon would see Mick McCarthy's men return to the Premier League after a five year absence.

Now Lescott, who moved to Goodison Park from Molineux for £5million in 2006, has issued a message of support.

He said: "It would definitely be a dream double if Everton beat United and Wolves can get promoted on the same weekend. I would love that.

"For them to come up would be amazing, but it would be even more amazing for us to get to the Cup final."

Goalkeeper Matt Murray is about the only face left at Molineux from Lescott's day but the 26-year-old, who made 212 League appearances for the club, still wants to see them succeed.

He said: "Most of the lads from my time at Wolves have left. But Matty Murray is still there, and I know quite a few of the staff still.

"They can definitely get promoted this week so I will be looking for that result, it would be great to see them do well."
