Grand Designs Live sees record visitor numbers

A record number of visitors attended the NEC for Grand Designs Live as the popular property show returned to Birmingham for a sixth year last weekend.

The three-day event, hosted by the TV programme’s presented Kevin McCloud, welcomed over 47,000 people to the exhibition, which was split into six sections including kitchens, gardens and technology.

Hundreds of visitors also shared their build plans and ideas with industry experts at the show’s ‘Ask an Expert’ centre, where free advice was given on how to get started on building a dream home.

Meanwhile, other visitors sought inspiration for their current homes, purchasing everything from unique and bespoke interior furnishings to the latest energy efficient gadgets.
