Time to map out a plan for Villa's future

Setting up a professional house share
Wednesday 17th November 2010, 7:45AM GMT.
We’ve been setting up another flexible house share this week, so it has been a case of all hands on deck to get it looking nice and welcoming for our tenants writes Lea Beven of Limecastle.
We are taking in a mixture of clients who are either not working or are on a low income for this property.
When setting up a new house share you can do it either by buying all new furniture, as a lot of my clients do, or you can use eBay and classified adverts to find your furnishings.
We believe it does not really matter, as long as all of the items are in good order and match in the rooms.
So, for example, you would not combine a pine bed and a mahogany wardrobe with an oak dressing table. It would just look strange.
Specifically, we’ve been searching for some double beds with no visible frame for a professional house share. We need to match them to more items of furniture.
So we are looking for double divan style beds or a neutral metal.
I’ve always said that there is no point in putting in bad mattresses, as people will just move out if they can’t get a good nights sleep.
When we’ve finished it, this house will lend itself perfectly towards affordable living as separate rooms, as there is only one bathroom between five rooms.
However, there is a large kitchen/dining room, a separate laundry room, plenty of parking spaces and, as a bungalow, it is all on one floor.
So my mission for this week – fill the house with furniture before filling it with tenants!
