Help at hand in Sandwell over loss of jobs

Job seekers and people facing redundancy in Sandwell will be given a helping hand as a project is launched by the council. Pathways to Enterprise will offer help as redundancies increase in the area.

It will provide free support to anyone who is interested in setting up their own business, or wants to increase their employment prospects by improving their skills, CV or interview techniques.

The central aim is to help people feel confident about self employment and that they have the necessary skills to make it a reality.

Demand is already high with more than 150 people in Sandwell currently receiving support and many more potential entrepreneurs waiting to join.

The project runs until December 2012. Anyone interested can call Richard Williams on 01902 572020 or email pathways@w-n-c.org for more information.
