Hundreds of people flocked to a jobs fair at Walsall College for permanent and temporary jobs over the Christmas period.

Representatives from a range of companies exhibited at the event, held at the college’s Wisemore Campus yesterday.

Companies including Next, Matalan, Argos, Royal Mail, Debenhams and New Look were on hand to give information about vacancies. Support services and training providers were also present.

Anita Roberts, business and development executive at Walsall College, said: “The Walsall jobs fair was an excellent opportunity for job seekers to meet with employers directly and find out more about job opportunities and apprenticeships.

“It was also a great solution for employers who are looking to fill posts in a limited timeframe.”
