Macmillan Breast Cancer Awareness

The Express & Star Thanks For Your Support campaign is now drawing to an end.

“Thanks for Your Support” was launched by the Express & Star in conjunction with Macmillan Cancer Support to raise as much money as possible for this national charity.
October was Breast Cancer Awareness month and we, at the Express & Star, asked companies, organisations, schools, colleges and groups to register to take part and encourage as many people as possible to donate their old bras and bikini tops for recycling whilst collecting £1 from each person at the same time.

Collection of the bras is well under way by the Macmillan team and recycling firm JP Wilcox of Bilston.

Not only will all cash be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support but all bras and bikini tops collected will go to recycling, so raising more money.

Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer. They provide practical, medical, emotional and financial support and push for better cancer care.
