Best of the Web – The world’s quickest electric car

When you think of electric sports cars, you think of sleek, modern designs, green-credentials and futuristic technology.
You almost certainly wouldn’t be thinking about the 1972 Datsun 1200, almost forty years old and a car that wasn’t exactly known for its sportiness in the first place.
Yet this particular car, built by American mechanic John Wayland, has a powerful electric engine that will propel it from 0-60mph in less than two seconds.
Known as the White Zombie, it will go 90 miles without being recharged and its modest appearance makes it the perfect opponent for unsuspecting boy racers.
Just watch what happens when a Maserati driver challenges him to a drag race. . .
