Album: Glee The Music: Season 2, Volume 4

Friday 18th February 2011, 2:49PM GMT.

For all you Gleeks out there, the fourth volume of songs from the hit American TV show can’t come soon enough.

Featuring all the favourites from Season Two, upbeat tracks like Billionaire and Empire State of Mind will have you shimmying around the lounge.

Any superGleek worth their salt will have spent most of December watching teasers such as the now legendary cover of Forget You (featuring Gwyneth Paltrow) on You Tube so will be more than familiar with some of the tracks that are yet to feature on the show.

But for those yet to be converted to the God-like qualities of Glee, this will probably do little to endear you to it. It’s more cheesy covers that, out of context, can come across as quite odd.

But it’s fun, upbeat and if nothing else a pure guilty pleasure.

If you don’t want your mates to know you’re a secret Gleek, keep it for the car – singing along at the top of your lungs to Amy Winehouse’s version of Valerie in a Glee style while stuck in traffic on the Birmingham New Road is the perfect antidote to a stressful day. Just trust me on that.
