Commercial feature – The way that private health care is accessed in the UK is set to be radically altered for the better thanks the launch of a specialised health insurance website. Health365.com, developed by Westfield Health, offers a brand new, modular form of online health insurance, with affordable health cover available from just £15 per month.
Organising your policy is simple; just head to the Health365.com website and register your details. You can then select the health cover that best suits your needs safe in the knowledge that all the health cover you require can be arranged online via a few clicks of your mouse.
Once Health365 has your details and the level of cover you require, it will provide you with an instant quote for your personalised private health insurance. The whole process, from start to finish, can take as little as five minutes and better still, there is none of the hassle and tedious question answering that is commonly associated with other private health insurance providers.
The website owner, Westfield Health, a non-profit organisation that makes substantial donations each year to the NHS and other medical charities, has over 90 years’ experience in providing health insurance and chose to open the website after extensive market research. The findings showed that 96 per cent of respondents would like to buy their health cover easily and affordably online. A further 40 per cent of respondents had private medical insurance (PMI) in the past and would like once again to have the extra peace of mind that it provides.
As well as providing a digital service, the new Health365.com website is innovative in that it is a flexible alternative to private medical insurance and offers a revolutionary form of modular health cover. Jill Davies, the chief executive of Westfield Health, outlined this new direction in health cover upon the launch of the website in July, when she stated: “Until now, people could choose to have a health cash plan and/or PMI. Health365 will redefine the health insurance landscape by providing customers with a flexible alternative.
“Not only this, Health365 sets the standard in terms of customer engagement with the use of video to explain the cover clearly and simply. Then, in just a few minutes, customers can purchase cover to suit their needs.
“We’re thrilled to launch this new brand and product. We are certain that customers will see the direct benefits of Health365 and we look forward to providing many people across UK with the health cover they desire, without the prohibitive price tag.”
The Health365.com website offers four modules of health cover. Customers are obliged to select the fundamental Core Health Cover and have the choice of adding one or more modules from any of Scanning and Screening, Consultation and Surgery Choices.
Core Health Cover is available in two levels, ‘min’ or ‘max’. The cover allows those insured to claim back everyday health costs, such as dental fees and optical bills, as well as receive a fixed cash payout for any nights spent in hospital.
The other modules available are somewhat self-explanatory. Consultation affords fast access to private consultants and meets the attendant costs of these. Scanning and Screening provides expedient access to MRI, CT and PET scanning facilities and covers the cost of their use, while Treatment provides speedy cover for up to 60 non-urgent surgical procedures.
With many people looking for better, more personalised health care at a great price and without the hassle, it seems likely that Westfield’s new website, like many of its customers, will perform very healthily indeed!
