Man held after chase

An 18-year-old man was arrested after a high-speed police chase through Wolverhampton today.
The stolen Vauxhall Astra came to a stop in Wednesfield after the four-mile pursuit and burst into flames.
Officers had been alerted at 12.50am by a member of the public who saw a car being broken into in Dilloways Lane, Portobello.
A police spokeswoman said an 18-year-old Wolverhampton man arrested nearby on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and dangerous driving was in custody today helping with inquiries.
