Here comes the snow
Saturday 26th December 2009, 10:28AM GMT.
Up to six inches of snow is predicted to fall on the West Midlands from Tuesday, bringing chaos to the region.
Forecasters said temperatures were set to return to below freezing from tomorrow night but that Sunday and Monday would be bright.
Andrew Sibley from the Met Office said: “On Tuesday, rain will turn to up to 15cm (6in) of snow.
“On Wednesday we are expecting more snow, and icy conditions will keep it on the ground until Thursday.”
Walsall’s game at Bristol Rovers was today called off.
