Cooper vows to attack

Peterborough manager Mark Cooper today pledged to attack Albion on Boxing Day.
The former Birmingham midfielder believes attack will be the best form of defence when his Posh side take on Roberto Di Matteo’s Baggies.
Albion are the Championship’s highest scorers with 43 goals in 21 matches, five more than any other team in the division, while Posh have hit just 27 goals and sit second from bottom.
But Posh boss Cooper insisted he is delighted with his attacking trio of Aaron Mclean, Craig Mackail-Smith and George Boyd. And he says he will not compromise the three forwards by adopting defensive tactics at The Hawthorns. Cooper said: “All three of them match up favourably to any strike force in the division. Not only are they highly-skilled players, they also work tremendously hard.
“Their willingness to chase everything and hassle every defender does them great credit. I can’t think of anyone I’d swap them for.
“West Brom obviously have a lot of quality going forward but it could be that attack is the best form of defence for us.
“It’s best to play to your strengths and our strengths at the moment are the strikers.
“I watched QPR play at West Brom recently and they tried to sit back and catch them on the break, but we might be better suited to starting on the front foot.”
