The arrival of new manager Roberto Di Matteo? Or perhaps there was a favourite game or goal?

Highlight of the last 12 months was when we thrashed Middlesbrough in the prem last season and Roko scored a brace. Still think he should be in the side.

Andy the very happy Brummie road season ticket holder

my fav things has got to be the signings of gonzalo jara and jerome thomas, two really gd players who we need in our starting 11 week in week out, i wud neva ov thought we would sign some one like thomas and when the jara deal was stopped because of colo colo relasing the details to the media early i thought we missed out on a good player only to find that soon we have singed him and hes an absoloute gem of a palyer, come on you baggies boingboing

My best moment was the arrival of Gonsalves Jara from Chile and realising that the club still has the ability to attract top notch players. Jara will grace the Premier league.

The highlight for me this year is when the Wolves got promoted and Albion went down, the reason i say that is because im sick and tired of always beating Wolves, they need a rest from it lol

I suppose it was the Middlesbrough game last season. Difficult to find good points in a year where we finished bottom and got relegated, our manager left after we all wore the masks and asked him for loyalty, we now have 20k at home games and the club have recently said we are in debt!

    1. Completely agree Roko a quality player and should be playing especially when we have lazy Brunt in the side. I hope for a better 2010 lets start by trying to stay in the top 2. Boing Boing.

There aren’t many Prem moments- maybe the ground responding to Liverpool’s second and erupting into a chorus of song. I know it effectively sealed our relegation, but it reinforced what the Albion mean to us all, whatever the division.

That aside, winning at Peterborough and Middlesbrough not long afterwards. The latter more emphatic than the former, but it’s when I began to realise we’d be ok in this division under RDM and we weren’t in total decline like I’d feared, despite the loss of Greening, Robinson, Valero, Fortune, Menseguez etc etc

My favourite memory of this year was when I read post 5 and it made me realise how good our real fans are as opposed to Dingles who dress up as Albion fans on the E&D boards.

Either that or the 5 – 0 demolition of Boro away.

Merry Christmas one and all……including my special favourite Shadrag xxxxx

    5. A bit negative but it is difficult to find too many positives. I think Jara has been a positive. A real positive for the club would be for Peace to sell upto somebody who will invest wisely and not always the cheap option. We need to get up and compete this time, I am not too confident that we will go up at this stage. We have such congestion in the fixtures and a very small squad.

Forget all the negatives from last year and that hypocrite mobray’s poor understanding of loyalty. The best moment for me was realising that under RDM we can play first time passes and hit teams on the counter, which has a lot to do with Dorrans taking over from Greening.
Here’s to a great 2010 and Merry christmas to everyone, even the dingles – I hope you stay up so we’ve got all 4 of the midland teams in the prem next season.

My favourite moment of 2009 was a a text message from sir terry baggie. There was a minutes silence before one of the games for one of our fallen hero`s over seas, his daughter arrived late to the ground and thought it was a minutes silence for Patrick Swayze!!

The moment not only made us realise how lucky we are, and the sacrifice the few make for the many, but also the humour we can find in everyday situations. A smile brought from a moment sadness. God bless you Nicole, thats my favourite moment of the year.

    Merry Christmas one and all.

Fav moment. Took a Venezuelan girl to watch game v QPR at a local ex-pat bar. She told me that she thought we were an `equipo con leche´(a team with sp*nk), due to our impressive comeback. She also pointed out that her team in Uruguay (Nacional)have the nickname `Bolsas´, or `Bags´ to you and me. We´re getting on quite well now. Merry Xmas(and a stupendous New Year) to all Baggies fans.

All of it was brilliant cos it was the Baggies. But particularly loved the 3-1 win against Wigan cos I was there and we showed fight to try and stay in the Premier League <3 Also loved beating Boro 3-0, and 5-0 away this season, all of the results we have won handsomely or showed fight and determination to come back (L) I love you with all my heart West Brom x

Not like me to agree with you but I’d single out the Liverpool game as well. My favourite was the moment you mentioned and then the standing ovation for the Manager and players at the end.
I know that in light of what happened in the aftermath, this may seem strange but it was the fact that we’re Albion supporters. We support our team through the bad as well as the good. We don’t put up banners condemning the players. I know other teams have bigger crowds but how big would Arsenal, Man Ure, Liverpool’s be after a few years in the wilderness. Some of the glory hunters IE MU had a couple of seasons out of the top division but not long spells like we’ve had (and indeed Wolves and Blues.) let’s see how their support stands up if they do, perhaps Liverpool are about to find out.
The point is that managers let you down, players let you down, yes Streetly, even chairmen let you down. But the real fans stay with the club, no matter how difficult it becomes and I was so proud that day. We’d lost, been relegated, yet I went home with a glow of pride. I’m not saying we’re the best fans in the world, that title must go to people that loyally follow teams like Rochdale or Orient. Having said that, I wouldn’t swap ours.
    Up the Baggies.

For me it was appointing a ‘head coach’ who understands the importance of defending. Gone are the days when an opposition corner was as good as a penalty!

hey every1! a great moment for me was last week when i looked on the wba site 4 the 1st time in ages and reading that mozza and miller are nearly back playing, miller was 1 of the best strikers in championship a couple of years back and i hope he comes back stronger than ever, also has anyone seen troy deeney play at walsall, i think hes a teriffic young star, bring him to the baggies, boost him up some more and hell be great 4 us, and get craig beattie back!!!
