X factor’s Olly taking to the stage
Tuesday 22nd December 2009, 11:30AM GMT.
X Factor runner-up Olly Murs is to perform at a Black Country bar next year, it was announced today.
The Essex heartthrob, who came second in this year’s series of the popular ITV talent show to Joe McElderry, will take to the stage at Chicago Rock Cafe, in Bridge Street, Walsall, on February 2. Meanwhile, one of last year’s X Factor runners-up, Diana Vickers, will be at Birmingham’s Glee Club on March 22 at 7.30pm with tickets going on sale today.
Olly performed a duet with Robbie Williams in the show and will become the latest contestant to appear at the venue, following a previous performance by Jamie Archer.
Paul Williams, manager at Chicago Rock Walsall, said: “Olly was always going to make it to the final, he’s a great entertainer and can hold a crowd in the palm of his hand. We love the cheeky Essex boy and can’t wait to see him on our stage in Chicago Rock Cafe.”
Entertainment will start from 7pm, with tickets priced £10 or £15 for Golden Circle tickets which include a meet and greet session after the performance.
