Stourbridge 0 Oxford City 2

Monday 14th December 2009, 7:07AM GMT.

Stourbridge FC War Memorial Athletic Ground GV'sTwo second-half goals put an end to the Glassboys’ recent run of league results in a match halted by 13 minutes after the referee picked up an injury.

But a suitably qualified member of the crowd came forward to run the line.

The home side had the better of the early exchanges. In the fifth minute, Ryan Rowe pulled the ball back to Ben Billingham who dragged his shot wide.

It looked increasingly likely that the first goal would be vital and it was City that made the decisive breakthrough on 66 minutes. Liam Malone found Bell on the left and he crossed low for Michael Lyon to turn in the ball.

Five minutes later Mike Ford’s men doubled their lead with Steve Davis floating in a telling cross from the left for Douglas to guide a header inside Todd Henderson’s right-hand post.
