More red tape in Halesowen takeover

Monday 14th December 2009, 7:20AM GMT.

thegroveThe Football Association has not yet given the go-ahead for the takeover of Halesowen.

Administrators Marshman Price has confirmed that the sale of the crisis-hit Zamaretto League club to the Ingram brothers has still not been processed.

Joint-administrator Gary Pettit revealed the deal cannot go through until the official appeals process over the sale to the Ingrams has been completed on December 22.

He said: “We feel that we have found all the creditors for the club and the paperwork has been drawn up. We are unable to complete the sale until December 22. It is part of the rules that the FA set out.

“It would be a waste of time and expense to get the paperwork sorted beforethat time as the deal cannot be done as this is the beauocrastic system we have to work to.”

Supporters group The Yeltz Trust says they have written to Graham and Godfrey Ingram to request a meeting to discuss the brothers’ plans.

The group’s vice-chairman Gary Willetts admits the Premier Division club’s position is ‘up in the air’.

He added: “The trust want what is best for the club. The FA have still not ratified the sale. It is all still up in the air at the moment.”
