Man dies in train tragedy
Thursday 10th December 2009, 11:30AM GMT.
A man has died after being hit by a train on a Cannock railway line. The tragedy happened on the Rugeley to Walsall line in Hawks Green at about 7.30pm last night.
The train driver was described by the ambulance service as badly shaken but uninjured.
The dead man is understood to be middle-aged and his identity has not yet been revealed.
British Transport Police is appealing for witnesses to contact 0800 40 50 40.
