Monday 30th November 2009, 11:30AM GMT.
A man fined after feeding the ducks at a Black Country park has received a refund.
Ronald Burford, a 57-year-old was handed a £75 ticket for littering in January after throwing bread to the birds in Smethwick Hall Park.
His story was highlighted in the Express & Star after it was revealed mother Vanessa Kelly was fined after feeding the ducks with her 17-month-old son Harry earlier this month.
Following the stories Sandwell Council agreed to revoke the penalties of both Mr Burford and Ms Kelly until new warning signs are installed at the park.
Mr Burford, of Old Chapel Road, Smethwick, reluctantly stumped up the cash earlier this year and said he was now delighted to have received his refund and thanked the Express & Star for highlighting the story.
