A man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of murder and was being questioned by police today. It is thought the suspect is the dead woman’s husband.
Three terraced homes in Purlin Wharf were taped off this morning and all were under police guard. Forensic teams were on hand.
A neighbour said police had been called to reports of a disturbance late last night. A large blue tent was being erected outside the houses just before 12pm today.
