wolvespoppySpecial remembrance Wolves shirts with embroidered poppies have raised more than £8,000 for charity after going under the hammer on eBay.

Wolves stars wore the shirts against Arsenal earlier this month.

The club today revealed the auctions had pulled in £8,216 for the Royal British Legion. The shirt worn by striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake fetched £845 alone.

As well as the embroidered poppy, each shirt was signed by the player who wore it.

Around £16,000 was also raised during the match through donations which will go to Help For Heroes.

Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey said: “Wolves would like to thank our supporters for donating so generously.”
