Chemical spill alert
Wednesday 25th November 2009, 11:30AM GMT.
Residents of two Black Country streets were warned to stay indoors and keep their windows and doors closed while emergency crews dealt with a chemical spillage.
It took fire crews almost three hours to ensure the unidentified chemical spillage on the corner of Hollyhock Road and Bunns Lane, Dudley, did not pose a danger.
Dudley fire station watch commander Paul Clark said crews used protective suits and breathing apparatus until the chemical was identified as a type of strong acid.
