Birmingham took home three priceless points with a hard fought win in trecherous conditions against Fulham at St Andrew’s.
Lee Bowyer’s 16th minute goal for Blues proved to be enough for victory, as both sides struggled in the rain and wind.
The one-cap England international cleverly eased the ball past goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer from James McFadden’s lofted pass for the only goal of the game.
Fulham’s Clint Dempsey went closest for the visitors in the second-half, but his header was tipped over the bar by goalkeeper Joe Hart.
