A nature reserve near Kidderminster has become a hotspot for “indecent and inappropriate behaviour”, police said today.

Officers are stepping up patrols to deter the problem and are urging visitors to report suspicious or unacceptable conduct at Kingsford Forest Park.

Officers today said people had been seen engaging in sexual acts at woodland around the beauty spot off Kingsford Lane, Wolverley.

Pornographic magazines have also been discovered in the area. Police said there had been an increase in complaints by visitors, many of them with their children.

Officers have previously launched a clampdown on indecent behaviour in and around public toilets at the site.

But they said the latest reports of inappropriate behaviour were centred around woodland.

To tackle the problem, members of the local policing team are carrying out daily patrols in the area and posting signs in and around the wooded area warning people about their conduct.

Pc Sally Sliwinska said: “The kind of activity we are talking about here is illegal and unacceptable.”
