It is a tale which is as relevant today as when it was written more than four decades ago.
And now theatre impresario Lawrence Till is hoping to introduce the story of Kes to a whole new audience at Wolverhampton’s Grand Theatre.
The show, about a boy who finds solace, in a baby kestrel, from his dysfunctional family and school struggles, opens at the venue tonight.
Video journalist Nicky Butler was given a behind the scenes glimpse of how the production was put together.
