Stourbridge’s struggles in front of goal at Amblecote continued as they were held to a goalless draw by Swindon Supermarine.
The Glassboys have managed just one goal in their last five home matches and on Saturday they missed the presence of top scorer Sean Evans, who was serving a one-match ban.
Swindon shaded a first period that saw plenty of neat football but few clear chances until close to the interval.
On the stroke of half-time the Glassboys twice had to clear the ball off the line following a right-wing corner from Taylor.
A far post header by Justyn McKay was blocked on the line by Daryl Jones and with the ball not away, a curling shot by Chris Taylor was headed off the line by Ben Billingham, standing by the opposite post.
Stourbridge offered more of a threat in the second half and on 52 minutes Nathan Bennett crashed a header against the bar.
The home side went desperately close on 71 minutes when a long throw-in from Craig Slater was headed on towards Ryan Rowe, whose shot was kicked off the line.
