A masterclass with the prestigious City of Birmingham Orchestra is being auctioned on ebay.

People can win a series of once-in-a-lifetime opportunities with the CBSO, including the chance to conduct the orchestra following a masterclass with its world-renowned musical director Andris Nelsons.

Violin, viola, cello and double bass players will also get the opportunity to bid in four separate auctions to win a two-hour tutorial followed by a performance with the string section.

The auction, called the “So You Think You Can Do Better?” Experience, will be launched on Thursday for charity and is open to amateur and experienced musicians aged 18 and above. The winners will also be invited to an exclusive dinner.
