Diversity entertain at the Merry Hill Centre

Thousands of screaming fans crammed into Merry Hill as TV talent show stars Diversity and Stavros Flatley took to the stage to kick off the festive shopping season.

The centre’s official Christmas lights switch-on was attended by over 3,000 people from all over the West Midlands, the centre’s biggest crowd ever – and, according to Diversity, the loudest ever too.

“I don’t know whether it’s because there are so many people in a small space or whether they’re just crazy,” said 21-year-old lead dancer Ashley Banjo. “It was incredible though – absolutely deafening.”
