Masked raiders threaten mother
Tuesday 10th November 2009, 11:30AM GMT.
Masked burglars threatened a mother with boiling water before stealing cash and jewellery but fled after being disturbed by her husband returning home.
Three raiders with their faces covered entered the house in the Thicknall Rise area of Hagley, near Stourbridge.
West Mercia Police officers are appealing for information from anyone who may have seen men acting suspiciously wearing dark clothing in the area on Saturday night. The three burglars stole cash and jewellery.
But as they searched the house, the three thugs were disturbed by the woman’s husband at around 9pm.
The robbers fled out of the back of the home, running off towards Newfield Road.
Officers believe a getaway vehicle was waiting for them. Det Insp Terry Shore, of West Mercia Police, said it was important to trace those responsible as soon as possible.
Witnesses or anyone with information should call CID at Bromsgrove on 0300 333 3000, quoting 662-S-071109, or ring Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
