Glassboys set sights on future
Monday 9th November 2009, 11:30AM GMT.
The Glassboys were the toast of the Black Country as they pushed their Midlands opponents Walsall, narrowly losing 1-0 on Saturday.
But now players are back training for their next game – a Worcestershire Senior Cup First Round game against Evesham United.
Around 16 new sponsors gave financial backing to Stourbridge FC. Commercial manager Jonathan Martin said space was sold for a sponsor’s logo on players’ shirts.
Stourbridge received £7,500 from ITV for match highlights and around £35,000 in prize money.
