A cheeky charity calendar featuring Staffordshire cricketers has been produced in time for Christmas.
The calendar features Abbots Bromley Cricket Club’s batsmen and bowlers in some unusual positions.
Local photographer Georgina Jones posed the naked players with strategically placed bats, pads, gloves and other cricketing equipment to spare their blushes.
The calendar, which sells for £7,50, went on sale his week, with proceeds split between the club, who play at the ground off Swan Lane, and the Firefighters’ Charity. It was the idea of player and committee member Chris Wood.
Georgina said that it was on sale from village shops, the cricket club, The Coach and Horses, The Bagot Arms, The Crown Inn and the Goat’s Head. The calendar will also be on sale at the village’s Christmas market outside the Goat’s Head on December 4.
