Villa get Pompey in Carling Cup

Villa have been drawn at bottom club Portsmouth in the quarter-finals of the Carling Cup at the end of next month.
The claret and blues will go to Fratton Park in the last eight – an all Premier League affair – on the week beginning 30 November, after their dramatic penalty shoot out win at Sunderland on Tuesday night.
Elsewhere in the draw, cup holders Manchester United will host last year’s finalists Tottenham Hotspur, while Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor will face former club Arsenal again at Eastlands.
The other tie will see Blackburn host Chelsea, with the team’s last meeting ending in a 5-0 win for the Premier League leaders last Saturday.
