The great Wolves and Cradley Heath speedway rivalry is set to be revisited at a special Black Country night.

Sam Ermolenko and Alan Grahame, heroes of their respective clubs, will go head to head at Dudley Sports and Social Club on Saturday November 14. Sky Sports commentator Nigel Pearson will host the evening.

‘Sudden Sam’ was world champion in 1993, while ‘Big Al’ is a veteran of the Heathens league and cup winning days.

Event organiser Paul Hawthorne said: “We have hosted some great football nights at the club, but many people have asked us to do a speedway night.

“The old Wolves versus Cradley rivalry was brilliant and we’re bringing it back to life.”

Tickets cost £5 and a raffle will be held in the club on Hillcrest Avenue, Brierley Hill to raise cash for a local charity.
