Milton Jones, Wulfrun Hall, Wolverhampton

By Helen Cartwright

Concert review: Those who know Perrier-award winning comedian Milton Jones’s work from his radio shows, stand up tours or TV appearances will be well aware he is the king of the one liners.

But anyone new to his style at Wolverhampton’s Wulfrun Hall last night quickly warmed to his witty retorts, which were reeled off with such pace the audience was in an almost constant state of laughter.

Turning his hand to an array of topics, he proved he has the gift of being able to find mirth in subjects at the drop of a hat, making for a highly enjoyable second half of a show which had got off to a sluggish start.

Tonight he will be taking to the stage at the Birmingham Glee Club Studio.
