Baggies manager on swine flu alert
Wednesday 28th October 2009, 12:57PM GMT.
Roberto Di Matteo today pledged Albion will take no risks over possible swine flu outbreaks.
The head coach insisted the Baggies will take all possible precautions to avoid the club falling victim to a similar bug to the one that has struck Blackburn and Bolton.
But he admitted there are limits to the steps staff can take to keep their squad flu-free.
“You’ve got to monitor it very closely,” said Di Matteo, who has now fully recovered from the bout of flu that kept him away from training last week.
“And as soon as you have a player that has the risk of flu you’ve just got to keep him away, whether it is or isn’t swine flu.
“That is the only solution to keep it out of your club.”
Di Matteo stayed away from the training ground last Wednesday and Thursday after being struck down with a flu bug in the build-up to Tuesday’s Championship clash with Swansea.
And the move has so far paid dividends with no further members of the club’s playing or coaching staff showing symptoms of the illness. Players have also been given their annual flu vaccinations.

Looks as though Mr Tamas may be a non starter, last thing we need is a bad influence in the dressing room with a lot of young players.
On a similar line, I was suggesting the other day that Marlon King might be a good loan striker. I forgot about his impending court case.
Oh well, back to the drawing board.

The proposed epidemic is obviously far worse than we knew. Karl Henry is being touted as an England possible.

1. Don’t you mean another bad influence. We already have Luke -NOMoore, Roman Bednar, Jonas ‘Im going have a pop at the fans’ Olsson, and Gianni ‘Im tired after playing twice in a week’ ZUIVY! Unbelievably poor on Sat but the positive is that we didnt conceed. This league is poor and we need to start picking up wins again because Borough have been particular shrewd in getting Strachan, Cardiff and QPR are good sides, Newcastle are better then us and there are a few outsiders which concern me. Wish Peace would of pulled his finger out last season we could of been in the top flight with Vile, Dingles and Blues, hopefully next season but they are more likely to stay up then we are go up at the moment. 2. As Barnsley fans sang to us ‘If Carson played for England so can I’ Karl Henry is a good player and would walk into our team at the mo, take off your tinted glasses.

Oh dear Mr Mowbray, the grass isn’t always greener even when it has white hoops in it. After one of the shortest love affairs on record, the standing ovation we gave you must now seem a lifetime away. That flashy new girlfriend, all short skirts, high heels, dyed blonde hair and false promise is about to give you the elbow, while the steady, modest, reliable girl you left her for doesn’t want you back.

5 Shadrag, 7,9,10.
Surprised you’ve got time to come on here with all that celebrating Karl Henry’s England call up.

Clutching at straws a bit fellas, Celtic lost in their equivalent of the carling cup. They will still win the scottish premier league and they are in europe. It was a step up for him, but I do think he is very over-rated. RDM is having his first test of character since coming to the albion and saturdays game was dire and got even worse with the Olsson incident at the end. We need to beat Watford and stay in the top 6-8 pack. Long way to go though. Luke Moore is has had too many chances in my opinion, Brunty is not interested unless he has scored but his work rate is poor. We need players with passion and who want to play for the club not players who are just there for wages.

Distant Baggie – you have been posting on here under that disgiuse for months now – NO ONE believes you are a baggie fan mate – GIVE IT UP !!!!
BaggieBob – you confuse me mate – you get ridiculed everytime you post your nonsense and yet you STILL think people are interested…. WEIRD !!

happy_baggie you are the only boring one mate. ‘I will not post on here any longer’ and then every other day you come on here posting, it is a desperate attempt to attract attention. We give an honest opinion as we have been awful recently and there is alot of negatives, I will make up positives just for you. Are you satisfied with losses to Barnsley, Swansea, Crystal palace and at Coventry it was shockling. You obviously do not pay and go to games as it gets frustrating. Calling us dingles is ridiculous, we are entitled to an opinion.

15. Shadrag.
Your last sentence is exactly what Happy is saying. Most of us don’t mind you coming on here, but at least have the courage of your conviction and don’t masquerade under false colours.

Happy – “Pig-sick’ was a play on words. Hopefully we can still have a laugh in adversity.
