Rush-hour car driver’s lucky escape

The motorist, believed to be a male, suffered only minor injuries. Onlookers said they were surprised that the driver did not sustain more serious injuries due to the amount of damage caused to the car, the tree and the lamp post. An onlooker said: “The car was left in a bit of a mess, but to be honest the driver was lucky to have hit the lamp post before he went into the tree.”
