Rush-hour car driver’s lucky escape

An electrician works to make the remaining section of the lamp post safe, before recovery can begin on the Citreon Saxo, Marsh Lane, Pendeford.

A motorist had a lucky escape today when the car he was driving careered off a Black Country road and crashed into a lamp post and tree. The Citroen Saxo ploughed into the post in Marsh Lane, Fordhouses, Wolverhampton, at 7.50am.
