Hotel on the market for £8m

A major hotel in the Black Country has gone on the market for £8.25 million.

The Park Inn, next to Banks’s Stadium in Walsall and visible from the M6, is up for sale by Christie & Co.

The 121-bedroom hotel opened as a Ramada Encore in mid-2006. At the beginning of 2008, the owner appointed Rezidor to operate the hotel under a 25-year management agreement and the property was rebranded as a Park Inn.

It has a 120-seat bar, a 22-seat meeting room, a fitness room, and a 75-space car park. It is popular with visitors to Banks’s Stadium.

Kerr Young, of Christie’s investment and development team, said the hotel has already had “a substantial amount of interest from private investors and local hoteliers”.
