Friend extends Southend loan

Wolves have agreed to extend the loan of defender George Friend at League One club Southend.
Friend, who turns 22 on Monday, is due to play the final game of his month’s spell at Roots Hall against Bristol Rovers tomorrow.
The former Exeter man has played five games for the Shrimpers, winning two and losing three.
He said: “I’m enjoying it here and the clubs are trying to sort something out so I can stay longer which would be good.”
