Carson’s best yet to come
Saturday 26th September 2009, 10:56AM BST.
Albion keeper Dean Kiely today told Baggies fans Hawthorns No 1 Scott Carson will keep on getting better.
Kiely, who has been coaching Carson this season, believes the 24-year-old shot-stopper’s best years are still ahead of him as he settles in as Albion captain.
“There is loads to come from him,” said Kiely, who is being kept on the sidelines by Carson. “I think sometimes people forget his age.
“He is flying along and enjoying his football and I feel quite proud that I am adding to his armoury.”
And, while Kiely still has designs on ousting Carson from the Albion first team, he is also taking pride in helping develop his rival as stand-in Hawthorns goalkeeping coach.
“From Monday to Friday I hope I am putting in front of him stuff that he wants to do and will make him a better goalkeeper,” said Kiely.
