Station shut after attack

A tram station in Bilston was closed today as police investigated reports of a sexual assault.
The Crescent Metro stop in Wellington Road was cordoned off at 5.10am as police investigated an alleged attack near the station. Trams were not stopping there and passengers being turned away.
West Midlands Police are working with British Transport Police. Anyone who was in the area early this morning and may have seen anything suspicious should contact Wednesfield police station on 0845 113 5000.
